ABOUT THE JOB
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Network Security Technician to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing endpoint security, maintaining network infrastructure, and ensuring the overall security and stability of our systems. This role requires both technical expertise and strong communication skills to support internal teams and clients effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure, administer, and maintain network infrastructure including routers and firewalls.
- Deploy, manage, and monitor endpoint protection solutions such as SentinelOne or CrowdStrike.
- Configure and support security appliances including WatchGuard, SonicWALL, and Fortinet.
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate administrative and security tasks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve networking and security-related issues in a timely manner.
- Provide clear, professional communication with team members, stakeholders, and clients.
- Document configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge sharing.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs).
- Experience with endpoint security platforms (SentinelOne, CrowdStrike).
- Hands-on experience with firewall/router technologies (WatchGuard, SonicWALL, Fortinet).
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and systems administration.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve complex technical problems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be available and dependable during scheduled business hours.
- This is an in-person job, Monday to Friday day shift with some overtime as needed. This position is eligible for overtime pay.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, CCNA, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with SIEM platforms and log monitoring tools.
- Experience with IT service management practices and ticketing systems.
Pay range, depending on experience and skills, is $22.00 to $34.00 per hour.
Anyone who has experience in Information Technology as an IT Support Specialist, Help Desk Technician, Desktop Support Technician, IT Technician, Network Administrator, Systems Administrator, Network Operations with Network Security responsibilities may translate well to this position.
